Japanese TV

            Japan has many varieties of TV shows. I made a research on a show called 「The Most Useful School In The World」 

This show's educational philosophy is to call professors of all ages and countries, and have them lecture on 「Useful Studies」

By solving the「Honyarara Questions」,this show will give out the「Living Hints」that you can learn to change your living. This means,

 by watching this show at home, you can take classes that are held at the world's highest learning institution, which will make the scales

on your eyes fall off. 

                               「The Most Useful School In The World」 is the fist school in the world to do that!!

•   As you can see in this photograph, there are three people.

              In the middle, is the principal, Masaaki Sakai. He was band man, and formerly the main vocal of 「The Spiders」.

     Afterwards, he had an occupation at a public bath, restaurant, and he also worked as an editor for the "Daijiten", the Japanese

     Language Dictionary. Later on, he was inaugurated as principal of 「The Most Useful School In The World」, which his grandfather

     established. His favorite phrase is 「Let's Honyarara!!」

            On the principal's right hand side, is the vice-principal, Shinya Ueda. He is the principal's right-hand man, and he is the one

     who controls 「The Most Useful School In The World」. He is the first「Unchiku」King. (「Unchiku」= A vast stock of knowledge )

            On the principal's left hand side, is the class representative, Teppei Arita. He entered「The Most Useful School In The World」

     because of his brilliant ability in solving a "Honyarara Question". It was said to be that after Arita solves a 「Honyarara Question」, 

     there is no one that can surpass him. However, nowadays he is the class's problem child, who spends his days at parties. 

      Here, we see principal Masaaki Sakai saying his favorite phrase 「Let's Honyarara!!」

             Most of you may have thought, "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS 「LET'S HONYARARA」?!?"   

     Throughout this site, I have been using the phrase 「Let's Honyarara」 many times, but "Exactly what is 「Let's Honyarara」?" you may ask.  In English 「Honyarara」 would be translated to「Something Something」. 「Something Something」 is used to indicate a blank to befilled in. Even in Japanese, it is used in the same way. However, if you put the word「Let's」before it, it will have a totally different meaning. If theword「Let's」is before the word「Honyarara」, it means "Let's challenge some questions!!" or something close to that.  In conclusion, wheneverprincipal Masaaki Sakai says his favorite phrase 「Let's Honyarara!!」, he just wants everyone to answer/solve the question(s) .
